Middle East King congratulates Sharon, Bush, Abbas on Gaza withdrawal

In his message sent to Mahmoud Abbas, HM King Mohammed VI congratulated him for Gaza withdrawal considering it as a historical event and a considerable step towards the establishment of an independent Palestinian State with Al Quds as its Capital.

HM the King has previously called Mahmoud Abbas to ask about the circumstances of Gaza withdrawal and to assure him of Morocco’s permanent support for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.

The king also congratulated the Israeli government for its “strong will” to overcome all obstacles and internal pressure”. He also added that the Moroccan Kingdom is ready to contribute with all Arab and Moslem States as well as other countries to establish peace and find a final solution to the Arab-Israeli conflict.

Moroccan King Mohamed VI had a telephone conversation Tuesday with Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas on the Middle East crisis, the Moroccan News Agency, MAP reported.
