Malaysian investors keen to invest in energy & tourism

A delegation of Malaysian investors led by Tan Sri Abd Rahim Mohamad Executive Chairman Eden Enterprise expressed their keen interest to invest in Pakistan in Energy, Tourism, Food & Beverage and other sectors on immediate basis.

The leader of the delegation informed this during a meeting with Dr. Abdul Hafeez Shaikh Federal Minister for Privatisation & Investment here on Thursday.

While appreciating the Malaysian investors interest Dr. Abdul Hafeez Shaikh Federal Minister for Privatisation & Investment said that Pakistan was open for investment in all sectors. He stated that Pakistan offered maximum incentives to the investors as compare to the other countries of the region.

Foreign investors show interest in tourism sector: Jamal

Federal Minister for Tourism Dr G.G Jamal has said that it is a positive sign for the Tourism Industry that foreign investors have shown interest to invest in tourism sector. Grants to boost tourism in Penang

Penang Tourism Development and Environment executive councilor Teng Chang Yeow said the incentive was to encourage more of such bodies to organise tourism-boosting events. But associations will have to fulfil three criteria before they can qualify for the funds, which could be used to pay for advertising and promotion costs.
