American Express Gives Its Travel Web Site a Complete Makeover

American Express‘ Consumer Travel Network is unveiling a comprehensive new set of features on its Web site with a wealth of services and benefits, including special rewards for booking on the site using the American Express® Card. When it comes to booking travel online, many consumers are “commitment-phobic,” skipping from one site to another to find the best deal every time they travel. Until now, travel web sites have fallen short of giving consumers a good reason to stop playing the field and “go steady.” American Express intends to change that.

Indeed, loyalty is its own reward at www.americanexpress.com/travel , an attractive alternative in the confusing array of travel Web sites. American Express Travel is implementing a series of enhancements to www.americanexpress.com/travel that will make the online experience as trustworthy and reliable as its offline service – and give consumers good reason to come back again and again.

Eligible American Express Cardmembers who purchase travel on the site earn double points in Membership Rewards® – the award-winning loyalty program. (1) Even better, Membership Rewards points can be redeemed to purchase part or all of a cruise vacation on the site.
