Overseas travel to touch new high BYAS ANAND

Overseas travel to touch new high BYAS ANAND It's that time of the year again! With summer knocking on India's doors and schools getting ready for their annual vacation, Indians are headed for the friendly neighbourhood travel agent — with their copies of Lonely Planet in tow — seeking newer options to beat the heat. And if travel industry insiders are to be believed, 2005 is set to become the year when international summer travel — which has traditionally known to be lean — will peak to a new high. Fare war hots up for SE Asian travel

With the introduction of a direct Chennai-Kuala Lumpur-Chennai flight by the private airline Jet Airways (JA), the fare war on this very popular sector appears to be hotting up. The sudden signing of a code share agreement last week between Singapore’s

Through this promotion, the Indonesian Tourism Association and the Singaporean Association of Travel Agencies will jointly organise Sing-In tours. Indonesia hopes that 10 percent of the more than 1.3 million Chinese and Indian tourists visiting Singapore will continue their

Singapore tourism backs Krrish

In the first of it's kind, Singapore Tourism Board (STB) announced a tie-up with film maker Rakesh Roshan's Flimkraft Productions India Pvt Ltd for his upcoming film 'Krrish'.
