Tourism in the north-east was saved at the end of June by the 'Olympic Days of European Youth', where the young athletes brought an extra 3,000 people there in addition to Northern European tourists. There were also tourists coming from Eastern Europe and Japan. Americans were only passing through and only spent a weekend of relaxation there.
